Top Domain Registrar VS Normal or Unknown Domain Registrars

Summary: To choose between Top Domain Registrar or an Unknown or non-famous registrar domains.
As a customer, one question that I always ask to myself before buying a good domain name for myself is where should I buy it? The first thing that pops into my head is finding any top domain registrars around that people usually go. Some of my family and friends ask me why do we choose top rated domain registrars instead of a regular domain registrar company? Well, my asnwer to them is quite simple. To be honest, there is not much difference when buying a domain name from both parties as basically reseller domain names bought the domain names from the top domain registrars as well. But just to be sure in case that the domain company goes out of business than you should reconsider not to choose a domain registrar that is not famous and don't sell. Usually, this hosting business will last longer as they market is pretty big with billions of users around the world so don't really worry about that much. Even if they do run out of business, then you can easily push the domain to other registrar fwith a fee as little as 4 dollars.
 If possible, just find a domain registrar name that you usually buy with. But you might as well outsmart them and find a great top domain registrar that sells domain to you as cheap as possible! Try googling them and compare which one fits your budget and most importantly many people have given positive reviews about them. Find a company that people usually go and always have positive reviews about the service they offer. Even some bigger domain name sellers such as godaddy have discount coupons that you can use to buy domain name for just 1 dollar but only for the first year registration only.


For your information, domain name registrar is an organization or commercial entity, accredited by a generic top-level domain registry (gTLD) and/or by a country code top-level domain(ccTLD) registry, to manage the reservation of Internet domain names in accordance with the guidelines of the designated domain name registries and to offer such services to the public (source: wikipedia). To cut the crap short, they are just company that registers our domain names. Kinda like a license plate registration.
